Tangier Morocco 2025

A week ago I left London, UK and baby Link. In those 4 months I got to know the little boy and Steph’s new life in her lovely home. But London was cold - really cold and snow was forecast the day I flew out of Gatwick. The flight was 2 ½ hours and I had my row all to myself. The Tangier airport has just one runway in use. Fairly easy customs and quick purchase of a local SIM card. Met a woman on the plane from Toronto and my friend Elba gave me the contact of her friend that lives in Morocco for assistance in assimilating to this country. It has been 18 degrees here in the daytime. Sunrise is at 8:30 am local time and sets at 6:30 with a big sun in the west. I do a lot of walking each day - mostly toward the Strait of Gibraltar. There are big beaches and the tourist hotels and restaurants are beautiful. There are sweet shops on every corner, usually lined up, and the cakes are just fantastic. Bread is fresh and inexpensive.
